Aqua Aero Coatings BV was founded July 2016, by Wouter Scheffer, who developed the Aqua Aero concept during his 25 year career in the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia. His drive was to develop Aqua Aero into an anti-corrosion coating for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) equipment that contributes directly to a zero emission of global VOC exhaust. This coating, the future standard for HVAC equipment, is especially designed to prevent corrosion, and performance decrease of the heat exchanger and equipment part and panels. Aqua Aero has a division coating trade, where coatings are produced for over 70 customers in the world. This requires quite smart logistics to establish the right quantities of product at the right time at the right place, anywhere in the world.

Aqua Aero operates two trained licensed coating workshops, close to Barcelona, Spain and Padua, Italy by the Business Unit Aqua Aero Southern Europe. Aqua Aero America LLC, incorporated in Dallas, Texas, oversees the North America and LATAM operations. Aqua Aero Middle East Africa and Asia, to be working from Dubai, is locally supporting the distribution network of our global accounts, and servicing the quality output of our local partner network. In 2025, Aqua Aero is planning to open an office in Australia to facilitate a global standardization of product and service. Revenues for 2025 will be > 10 mln US$, with a healthy financial structure.

The head office is located in Utrecht, The Netherlands with a team of six people to manage, supply and support our worldwide Business Units. Here management oversees the company, by the company managing director, the Chief of Operations and the staff departments.
