Aqua Aero Product Portfolio
HVAC&R heat exchanger coils are the only metal objects in the world that have no standard protection against devastating environmental impacts. Although subject to salt air, fuel combustion, UV radiation, and sandblasting abrasion, huge aluminum and copper surfaces are not protected against corrosion. If a condenser corrodes or gets blocked, less heat transfer can take place from the refrigerant to the surrounding ambient.
A galvanic corrosion process will attack the braze between the tube and the aluminum fin, exactly at the spot where the condenser has its function. Corroded or blocked condensers are one of the most frequent service and energy consumption problems in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning fields today.
If less heat can be rejected to the surrounding air within an air-cooled condenser, the heat will start to accumulate in the condenser tubes. This accumulation of heat will make the condensing temperature rise. Now that the condensing temperature is rising, there will come a point where the temperature difference between the condensing temperature and the surrounding ambient (Delta T) is great enough to reject heat from the condenser.

Coil Coating
Aqua Aero Coil Coating is resistant to the most devastating impact of marine, industrial and offshore environment. The coating has no off-gas other than water during the curing process and is dry-to-handle 15 minutes after application. Once applied, the units may be damaged on the way to location or during installation. Aqua Aero offers nonexplosive spray cans to touch up any repair requirement that may occur.
In a C5 classified environment, an extra layer of water-based clearcoat upgrades both the coils as well as the panels and components to a High-Tier protection. Certified laboratories have tested and positioned the Aqua Aero Coil Coating to be suitable for C5 exposure conditions, Food and Beverage processing, Flame and Fire Index compliance, Air Coolers etc. Reports are available upon request.
Component & Casing Coating
Multi coat is our general name for a corrosion protection of the HVAC&R unit panels, piping, compressors, grids etc. The general epoxy powder coat may act as a primer, or, on base metals, Mastic AA may act as a primer.
Multi AA can be applied to all substrates, that require various specifications. Aqua Aero has refined a powder coat substrate with a Multi AA as clear as a High-Tier solution, made possible due to 10,000 hours of Saltspray, UV resistance and the ability to apply Multi AA top coating over stickers, handles and fasteners.
Multi coat AA has the highest Chemical Resistance classifications in the market, making it highly suitable for low cleaning and maintenance cycles. Multi coat is available in a scratch-resistant version, direct-to-metal and is available in various colours.
Drain pan Coating
Aqua Aero Pan coating is a two-component 100% solid self-leveling coating, applied to drainpans, water boxes etc. The corrosion resistance of AA Pan coated drain pans is exceeding the quality of stainless steel drainpans at less than 30% of the cost, which is proven by independent laboratory tests (available upon request).
The coating can easily be applied in AHU rejuvenation projects, because there is no smell from poisonous off-gas. It is classified in the highest rate of fire and smoke index of UL 723, which is applied in the current specifications of any occupied building.
Aqua Aero Aerosol
Protect the coil of a split AC, window unit, or portable air conditioner! These small-sized units are highly vulnerable to corrosion caused by harsh environments such as salty air, humidity, and industrial pollution. Corrosion damages heat exchangers in marine and industrial environments, leading to reduced cooling performance, higher energy bills, and costly replacements—sometimes within just two years.
Aqua Aero DIY Aerosol Coating for coils is the ultimate anti-corrosion solution for small-sized AC units!
